Bishop Burbidge on IVF and Surrogacy

This is a beautiful and compelling video message from Bishop Burbidge, regarding a very sensitive topic that is much in the news right now. Also his letter on the subject is well worth reading.

A Pastoral Letter

Perhaps there is a way to encourage many of our fellow citizens (including perhaps even President Trump and VP Vance) to reconsider their support for IVF by pointing out that it leads inevitably to eugenic practices and surrogacy. Eugenics to this day remains repugnant in the public mind because of its association with Nazi “science.” Surrogacy is clearly a form of the buying and selling of human beings, akin to human trafficking and even slavery. It is illegal in many countries including Italy, Spain, France and Greece. It is also illegal or restricted in some states in the U.S.

Here is a link to Circle Surrogacy which is a surrogacy business website which has many details about this abhorrent practice.

Finally here are two very ugly stories which show that as far as IVF goes we are not on a “slippery slope” but have actually fallen off a cliff.

Georgia woman loses custody, then sues.

“I caught our surrogate drinking alcohol and made her abort the baby.”
