Family First Committee

About the committee

The Massachusetts state government is one of the worst offenders in the campaign to destroy the family. The Family First Committee of Catholic Quest has formed to defend Catholic teaching on family and sexuality and to protect children from harm by the widespread promotion of Transgenderism and Pride Ideology in our state.

Here is a link to our petition to Archbishop Henning. We have mailed the petition with nearly 500 signatures to the Archbishop’s office and we are waiting hopefully to see if we can meet with him soon to discuss our concerns.

The Responsibility is Ours! Hey, Dads, this is for you.

“It appears Our Lord is indeed calling Catholics to a renewed Christendom that can only be accomplished through the laity. So instead of criticizing the prelates of the magisterium let the criticism be directed toward ourselves; toward the laity, and especially the laity’s intended leaders: the AWOL familial patriarchs.

Each and every Catholic family must be directed by members enlightened by an informed Catholic conscience. No longer can there be a semi-blind following of the clergy. A clear and certain following of the Church is demanded. No longer can a pastor effectively direct families from the pulpit as he did in a Christian culture, since the anti-Christic West is attacking the family from every side. Today, every single Catholic and each family must have a vision in the Faith that depends not on the vicissitudes of who is or isn’t their pastor or bishop or even pope. This is the great new age that promises an advance of Christ’s kingdom, of the continued triumphant unfolding of salvation history! Neither the blame nor the solution lies with the prelates of the magisterium, who are but men raised in the family. Rather, the blame and the solution, and hence the challenge, is with the family and its lay leaders: specifically its fathers.”

On the rights of the Christian faithful from the Code of Canon Law:

Can. 212 §3. According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, they have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful, without prejudice to the integrity of faith and morals, with reverence toward their pastors, and attentive to common advantage and the dignity of persons.
